Blood.    All I could taste and smell was the coppery red liquid, and it made me feel faint.  Red stains covered the gleaming metal machinery and cement walls of the lab.  The room was small and dark with a surgical table and hundreds of metal tools and machines.  There was a single blinding surgical light, silhouetting three dark figures hunched over the table, their cruel, merciless eyes gleaming at the teenage girl they were operating on.    I lay on the table, my numb arms and legs bound to the surface by metal cuffs incase I tried to move, but I couldn't even if I wanted to.  My body was broken; one of my arms was snapped in a dozen
